My Saturday morning usually begins with a trip to the Portland Farmer's Market on the South Park Blocks. And while I usually enjoy picking over whatever the season has to offer, I really go for Reggie.
No, Reggie is not an old farmer worn down by the years working in the fields, Reggie, The Reggie, is the name of the signature biscuit sandwich from my friends at Pinestate Biscuits. A mouthwatering combination of bacon, cheese, fried chicken, and a tad of sausage or mushroom gravy. Add a fried egg for the Deluxe. It truly is a delicious artery clogger.
And while they make a multitude of biscuit sandwiches, The Reggie, and The Reggie Deluxe are the only way to go. Don't forget the Sweet Tea!
